My name is Alan Hoskins. I was born and raised in Indiana with a short time (2000-2002) spent in Philadelphia, PA. I am now back in Indiana raising my son, who is now 9, and trying to make a life for myself.

I find enjoyment in learning about everything related to technology. I love new gadgets and having the latest, greatest technology items even though I sometimes cannot afford them. My latest purchase was the new a new Acer AspireRevo AR1600 ($199 on Amazon) that I am turning into a HTPC (Home Theater PC) with a write up coming soon.

I currently work as an independent contractor with ChaCha on creating and curating content on their website and for their mobile answers. If you’ve never used ChaCha, it is a mobile service that allows you to text or call in a question and receive an answer back via text message. The service is free to use so give it a try if you like.

I really enjoy the work I do with ChaCha and hope to expand upon this opportunity and at the same time work towards creating a business by myself. I do side jobs here and there for people including installing WordPress, vBulletin, and other odds & ends pertaining to website development.
